With decades of experience in the event industry, Chris Schoengut is a seasoned leader in sponsorship, marketing, brand development, and lots more. As Vice President of Trixstar LIVE, Chris has helped build and grow major live experiences across North America, including the internationally recognized Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, Big Valley Jamboree, GRIT Speaker Series, and Soundtrack Music Festival. He has also played a key role in branding and delivering high-profile experiences such as the Grey Cup Festival, the William Shatner Tour, and events featuring Ice Cube, Red Bull, and Bill Nye.

Since 2021, Chris has generated over $5.5 million in sponsorship revenue, forging impactful partnerships that have elevated the visibility and sustainability of major festivals and events post-pandemic. His work has touched nearly every corner of the event space—from grassroots marketing and site logistics to security, accessibility, and large-scale brand integrations.

A graduate of NAIT’s Digital & Interactive Media Design program, Chris began his career by volunteering at events like Ookfest and Big Valley Jamboree. His passion and drive earned him recognition as one of Edmontonian’s Magazine’s "Sizzling 20 Under 30" for his early career accomplishments and dedication to giving back.

Throughout his career, Chris has remained committed to community involvement—volunteering for 7 years as a preschool teacher’s aide at the Connect Society, serving on the Medical Outreach Committee for Make-A-Wish, coaching junior golf with Special Olympics Calgary, and joining 100 Men Who Give A Damn after relocating to Calgary to expand Trixstar’s southern Alberta operations.

Outside of work, Chris is an avid sports fan, proud dad to two rescue dogs, and—most importantly—father to his son Zach and proud husband to his super-mom wife, Michelle.
